I have attended the 9th live surgery course in August 2021. I am very lazy and am not used to leaving a review although I ask my patients to leave a google review after their visits all the time. In short, it is a typical Korean style pin-point and fast paced program. No BS: it is a very practical and clinically oriented program unlike the other well known implant courses that I took last 10 years.
 

Structure of the course:
Student to faculty ratio was 2:1, and I shared the chair with the other dentist. So I could get the 1:1 lesson from the faculty member during the entire surgery. While the other dentist proceeded the procedures, I assisted and observed his surgery. Believe or not, I could learn a lot by observing how others did. 
The Preop and postop clinical & radiographical photos were provided after the each treatment. Those were really helpful to reflect what I did during the surgeries. After the multiple surgeries one after another, it was very hard to remember what I felt and learned during the procedures.
 

Type of the cases:-
Type of the cases were unlimited if I was willing to learn and to do the procedures that I wanted to do. I originally came to this training course thinking I was going to only place implants for single crowns and denture locators. Bridges, hybrids, immediates, and other multiple implant cases I was going to leave alone. This was pure fear. During the course, I placed multiple immediate implants and later on I even refused complex cases to do more simple cases that I would encounter most in my office.
 

First thing I did at my office once I got back from the trip, I switched the OS that I used to refer to. Now I might not place an implant perfectly, but at the least, I have eyes to appreciate which is a good implant placement or not. I am planning to take this course next summer after polishing up my skills learned from this trip. Hopefully see you all again next year! (maybe sooner..)
