 The 8th Live Surgery Course held in Tijuana, Mexico in February 2020 was a resounding success. This course was attended by 12 new participants from Australia, demonstrating its international appeal.

Prior to the live surgery sessions, a pre-clinical hands-on practice for implant placement and suturing on models was conducted, providing participants with essential practical experience. This practice session took place on Thursday, the day preceding the live surgeries. The live surgery course itself was a remarkable experience. A wide range of procedures were performed, including multiple sinus lifts, guided bone regeneration, immediate implant placements, mini implants for replacing lower anterior teeth, single and multiple implants within the same quadrant, and guided surgery cases.

Throughout the course, an impressive total of 172 implant surgeries and 45 wisdom tooth extractions were performed. These procedures were conducted under the supervision of 6 instructors and 5 faculty members, with the invaluable assistance of 4 Korean and 15 Mexican dental assistants. It was a collaborative effort that contributed to the course's overall success.
