The 9th GIIA (Great Implant Academy Co. USA, Gangnam International Implant Academy Co. Korea) Live Surgery Course led by Dr. Young Sam Kim took place in Tijuana, Mexico from August 5th to 9th, 2021. This course had the privilege of hosting 13 new participants and 3 returning participants from the USA.

In addition to the live surgery sessions, a pre-clinical hands-on practice session for implant placement and suturing on models was held on Thursday, the day preceding the live surgeries. This allowed participants to gain valuable practical experience.

Throughout the live surgery course, a wide range of procedures were performed, including sinus lifts, guided bone regeneration, immediate implant placements, mini implants for replacing lower anterior teeth, as well as single and multiple implants within the same quadrant. It was an exceptional and educational experience for all involved.
