The 7th Live Surgery Course conducted by Dr. Youngsam Kim in Tijuana, Mexico, from January 10th to January 13th, 2020, was a remarkable event. This course welcomed 12 new participants from the USA. Prior to the live surgery sessions, a complimentary pre-clinical hands-on practice was organized for participants to gain practical experience in implant placement and suturing on models. This practice session occurred on the Thursday preceding the live surgeries, from 2 PM to 11 PM.

The live surgery course itself was a resounding success. Participants were exposed to a diverse array of procedures, including multiple sinus lifts, guided bone regeneration, immediate implant placements, mini implants for the replacement of lower anterior teeth, single and multiple implants within the same quadrant, and guided surgery cases. During the course, a total of 163 implant surgeries and 51 wisdom tooth extractions were performed under the vigilant supervision of 6 instructors and 6 faculty members. The collaborative efforts of 4 Korean and 12 Mexican dental assistants played an instrumental role in the course's overall success, leaving all participants highly satisfied with the experience.
